I heard the first single and low key regret that I did because it slapped so unbelievably hard, that I know that the rest of the album can't match that, but I'm still gonna have the irremovable expectation that it's going to go as hard as the single, so I'm gonna end up disappointed. So basically I'm just trying to lower my expectations as much as possible.

i’m a little disappointed. to:achlys, a world of joy, and a patient man are outright bad. if they had buried his vocals in the mix like they did on a lightless walk maybe it would’ve worked better for me. he’s too flat and too prominent and the music isn’t impressive enough to pull it off. the other stuff absolutely rips though

I agree should’ve pushed the cleans a little further back in the mix, maybe reverbed me out a bit more. Love lightless walk, still like the softer stuff on this, but his cleans aren’t strong enough to be absolute center stage
