seems like this band only gets so much hate because people dont like that the rip-off "artists" got popular. there are so many smaller clone bands out there, i never see them getting 1 reviews because of their lack of originality.

Yeah, cos they don't get nominated for Grammys. No one would hate Nickelback if no one knew who Nickelback was.

Agreed hard. Much better than those Carissa's Wierd copycat bands like codeine and low. People are just insecure when good old rock music shows up again. Hopefully more bands get the memo and return to the roots of rock.

Villains was awful. Terrible choice of a producer.

My biggest issue with them isn't just the music. It's the blatant rip-off of Led Zeppelin's guitar tones. It's the blatant rip-off of Robert Plant's vocals. It's the bland and uninspired lyrics. It's the fact that they dress like they're from the 70's. They want so desperately to take the money of people longing for nostalgic rock that they have created a soulless product. My problem is more with their aesthetic than whether a song is "good" or not.

Don't forget Frodo ripping off Plant's damn teapot pose.

@BeyondCosby: yeah, that kinda gets on my nerves too but meh, maybe it'll expose the stylings of Zep to a younger audience, perhaps one that's stuck in that "old music is bad because muh parents" mindset, so I can't fault them too much for it.

They're pretty boys who walk around barechested. I imagine there are kids who're into that sorta thing.

But Led Zeppelin were the greatest rock band ever. Why would you complain if they emulate perfection?
