did zep take a shit in your dinner or something? you seem to have a problem with them. i couldn't give a damn what jack bruce's opinion is on zep, that quote just sounds like him crying because cream don't get a fraction of the adulation zep receive.
furthermore, you can comment all day saying the same tired platitudes everyone throws out there about zep "stealing" ideas, but the band have made timeless albums. i think i've said it in the past, but give a band a riff and give zep the same riff and you'll end up with completely different results. the band were on a different level.
my issue with this album and this band has nothing to do with influences. you can't avoid ripping something off - even subconsciously, artists rip off other artists, there's only so many notes at your disposal. no, my issue comes from how a band goes about using those ideas, and gvf were (because they've moved on to different things now) a bad zep cosplay in a shitty karaoke bar, at best. i have the same distain for the likes of machine gun kelly and his egregious, "pop punk saving" antics. it just comes across soulless and so transparently desperate.

I don't have a problem with them, but I don't like GVF getting shit on for doing exactly what Zep did. And a lot of it is ranty, but Bruce is right, Zep got an easy ride doing Cream's form of Blues Rock and coasting on the then burgeoning fanbase. Just as GVF is coasting on Zep's fanbase. I don't like that one gets shit on but the other gets a get out of jail free card.
Though I do find this all ironic, cause one of the biggest reasons critics always shit on Zep back when they were operating was cause they were accused of just being a Cream knockoff band with half the talent. Can't wait to see the rep of these guys in 10-15 years.

When the Curtain Falls is a straight classic

Some of us listen to bands that don’t rip off anybody lol

Recently heard a few tracks for these guys and I'd heard the Zeppelin comparisons but didn't expect them to sound so much like them. Kind of mind-blowing tbh. Haven't jammed the full album but even though it's pretty dirivative I feel like it's probably a bit better than all of the 1's suggest. Will probably dive into the albums over the weekend

I just think it’s amusing that we have a band who blatantly rip off another band who already blatantly ripped off other artists. Got some inception thing going on here

Like how would a lead zeppelin even fly? It'd be too heavy for sure.

can guarantee it'll be non-existent

Now a lead sled would be ripping down a hill. Much better vehicle.
