They retconned them because the sequels had fucking voodoo shit by the 6th one, or if you go by the other timeline it ended with Myers getting drop kicked by a mediocre rapper lmfao

And the Rob Zombie remake was just a town full of people who acted like Rob Zombie characters

They really didn't have much of a choice

Gonna be honest the only sequel I've seen is Halloween II. Haven't felt like subjecting myself to the others

I mean yeah you know what to expect pretty much. I feel like people take this type of shit way too seriously though lol. I dig them cause I dig slasher movies, don’t care how shitty they are. People gotta critique everything so seriously all the time, kinda a bummer tbh lmao. Same goes for music honestly.

You don't have to. 3 is actually kinda interesting and 4 is fine but it's not like you have to go out of your way to watch that shit if you're not super into the series.

I like the original a lot but imo it's not really a movie that needed sequels

Who cares, if it brings $$$ on the table it will continue to spawn sequels.

That 2007 remake is just boring.

This was by far the most memorable movie I saw this year. Probably my favorite. So glad to see Michael be scary again.

Hereditary and Mandy for me. Upgrade, Blindspotting and Blackkklansman were also great.

not sure about the best but worst horror movie of the year is a tie for me between The Nun, Insidious and Slender

It's definitely way more of a substantial film than hardcore henry lol

It's more like Robocop

And yeah, The Nun was terrible - Insidious lost me after 1 and Slender Man looks atrocious

Finally saw this and it was dumb as fuck. Had moments of brilliance but ultimately a weak movie.

Best part of the movie by far was the lil kid that the blonde girl was babysitting.

For real? That kid totally killed the tension during one of the most intense scenes in the movie.

He was great otherwise but I certainly wouldn't call him the best part of the movie lol

Eh yea I guess he did but he was hilarious to me. The opening stretch of the movie was good but as soon as the friendzoned dude tries to kiss the daughter the movie went downhill and became predictable. Even the kills were mild to me. But hey, at least they didnt fuck up Michael's mask design.
