Ground Dweller definitely had some killer hooks.

I would kill for a Ground Dweller remaster, that shit is unlistenable for me.
It's a great album buried under some of the worst production I've ever heard.

I honestly do not get the hate for the production, it's fine to me

Ground Dweller is literally clipping out the ass. There's no detail to anything. They had some good ideas but the execution was poor, still a 3.5 tho

I never noticed the production being bad on it before.
Hopefully, I keep not noticing cuz I like that album a lot.

ground dweller was just straight 2010 jonny craig-core style overproduced drivel, unimagine was good but also a fluke, bc everything since has been bad

I don't think its a fluke, I just think they wanted to depart that Risecore sound so bad they made Dissonants, which wasn't bad but definitely didn't work as well as Unimagine or this. This is actually super good the more I hear it. Just a solid collection of songs, not a really cohesive album per say but I like every track on here.

Overthinking grew on me a smidge today. I don't like his delivery in the chorus but it's a decently written song I guess. I think it could have been better

As mentioned, this is very incoherent in style and inconsistent in quality. But some of the attempts of reaching out into different musical spheres achieve at least a moderate degree of success (Kingdom Come, Through Glass, Black are solid) and in addition you have a couple of decent songs for their more traditional sound (Monster, Overthinking, Tilt), forming this into a very shaky 3 that might drop by 0.5 some day.

I did not like this, Tilt was the best song by far

First Dead Letter Circus and now Hands Like Houses went from exciting Aussie band to generic alt rock.
