I feel so weirdly about this album. I'm probably one of the few people on this site who genuinely like KISS, but this album always sounds too clean to me. It has some of their best written material, but all of it is better performed live.

Not true. S/t is probably their best album and it definitely has a raw vibe to it. Creatures of the Night is another good one and that actually bares a lot of traits to a heavy metal album. Hell, Rock & Roll Over released the same year as Destroyer and is definitely harder and more raw.



I just think this is overproduced.
