Cartoonishly so, it feels off-brand. His stuff is over the top but come on now.

This fell out of the dig list impressively quick. The tour was great though.

Wild.

WITTR got a whole 3 songs with their 30-min set. Pretty good performance, but not quite the tunes conducive to a very interactive crowd.

At the Gates had about an hour and got a good mix of the most recent two records as well as some holdovers from SOTS. I believe this was the first night of the tour and idk how long it's been since ATG had been to Phoenix but the crowd was going batshit crazy the whole time so it had to have been a long time. I haven't seen a true, pure melodeath act live since In Flames (watered down) so it was very satisfying. They're very tight live performance.

Behemoth played the first four and the last track from the new album and mixed in a bunch from the last two albums as well as Conquer All, Decade of Therion, Slaves Shall Serve, and Ezkaton. I think the most intriguing part was watching how the three outside of Inferno handled vocals together. The chants were very well done and it was awesome seeing Nergal handle so many lead guitar parts while doing his lead vocal parts. Due to how awesome the sound was at this particular venue (best in my city by far), it would be easy to pick apart a band that didn't sound tight but I didn't hear a single miscue.

I suppose a decade on the road together will do that for what I've been convinced by that show is a very, very tight live performing band.
