Pale Horses is my favorite too.
I was going to see Foxing open up for them and I listened through their entire discography in a few days. Pale Horses came out the day before and I got to hear them play Rainbow Signs live and shit blew me the fuck away. so yeah, that Pale Horses album just has that specialness to it.

It's funny bc like many people I think B,S is their best, but in general 2010s mwY >>> 2000s mwY easily

Yes agreed. B,S is their least great Great album and CUTF is the only '00s album that holds its own with the '10s stuff

I think they’re really consistent all around, the only release I never go back to is It’s All Crazy. CFUTF, Ten Stories, Pale Horses, and Untitled are all basically tied for me. BS is their best for sure

honestly the main reason i prefer 2010s is that It's All Crazy is super inconsistent

A to B Life also has some less than stellar moments
|
| |
yeah but so is ten stories

Ten Stories is their worst 2010s effort but lyrically that album is a huge achievement. Nine Stories in particular is spellbinding
|
| |
true, but then again i love the lyricism of its all crazy and the stripped down aesthetic is something that while different really suits them imo
but hey its not like they have a full-length below a 4.5 for me anyway

Yeah it’s their magnum opus without doubt

It's All Crazy is crazy underrated by this site though, the lyrics and eclecticism is just unmatched

IAC is definitely disrespected. I've ranked mwY too many times to count, so I'll save you all the repetition, but they don't have any subpar LP's. Check everything. If you don't love one now? You might love it in 10 years. All it takes is one with this band, imo, but they've got a lot of different looks to see.

IAC is lyrically astounding just like every release by this band, but it's musically wack at several different points

I love it’s all crazy to pieces. So many lowkey bangers - love how mystical Aaron gets lyrically too

" it's musically wack at several different points"

Finally got to jam this on the new HiFi system Ive built, and my god is it ever masterfully produced. The vocals are just obfuscated enough to garner an intangible intruige to it all, and the mastering overall is simply second to none. Some albums sound great until they meet a great sound system, and some albums shine even brighter when they do. This is the latter, without question.
