I’ve only heard 3 of their albums but this is my fav so far. Brother, Sister and Ten Stories both are amazing too though so idk. Gotta hear the others still.

My opinion of order to check these guys in would be
Brother, Sister > Catch For Us the Foxes > Ten Stories> Pale Horses > this
A to B: Life if you want to hear the heavier angstier version of mwY out of curiousity
|
| |
Huh...I was expecting hardcore
This isn't hardcore

the new one is the most post hardcore sounding aside from A to B: Life

"but Catch for Us the Foxes is more powerful"
gotta disagree. the closer on B,S is one of the most powerful things they've written, puts the closer on this album to shame. (not that they should be examined under the same light necessarily)

They are much more indie influenced generally speaking

yeah Lucca if you wanna get a taste of their post-hardcore type stuff, just check the opening track on this record. and Hydra. B,S is more indie/folk with lots of spoken word and yelling.

Yeah going in order is never a bad idea with bands that seem to have such a consistent output.

it's an interesting evolution in this case especially the transition from A to B to Catch For Us the Foxes

I'd say the most interesting transition is from CFTUF to B,S, personally. I don't think anyone expected that shift. Kinda like YFW to Deja Entendu.

im gonna try this one now, not finishing the other one lol

@dbizzles whaaaa? I've always thought CFUTF and B,S are the most similar sounding. B,S to It's All Crazy was much more dramatic, imo, and even PH to Untitled was stark

yeah those transitions were big too, and I agree about B,S and CFUTF sounding similar

I don't see it. They explore way more sounds on B,S than Foxes. They just stripped it back for It's All Crazy.

B,S is a more expansive exploration but generally speaking I find them fairly similar in overall approach
|

Ok so far I like this way more but to be fair I didn't jam brother, sister all the way through. Will try again later, but yeah this is pretty dope
