I was asking Mongi, but what's your rating for the original sin? just outta curiosity

Same as this.
Agree with most of those ratings man, although I like Damnation quite a bit.

I like ... maybe 4 songs off of Damnation. Honestly, it's the production that really kills it for me.

Spirit I actually don’t know what you’re referring to haha original sin?

haha thanks guys, yeah I'll check out those last two thanks for the recs! I dug the original sin, I thought Dani's vox were better, but there were other parts that I didn't like as much like a lot of the keys. It's an interesting album either way though but I think it's a solid 4

It's the "original" version of Dusk and her Embrace! This one is actually a rerecorded version after they left Cacophonous, but The Original Sin was recorded w/the original The Principle of Evil Made Flesh line-up.

''Agree with most of those ratings man, although I like Damnation quite a bit.''
Yup, Damnation is awesome.
But their last two are back to the level of their classics, which is incredible. Definitely check them.
I ignored them for a long time after losing interest when Venus happened, but they got it back together big time.

Damnation is legit one of the best albums I've ever heard, and the lyrics are some of Dani's best and most ambitious. The production is the only misstep there.

It's super good yeah. Doesn't deserve even half the hate it gets.

Damnation has some filler but when it hits it hits so fucking ahrd.

really really does. The production shouldn't be that big of a deal, imo. its metal. Half of it sounds like dicks.

Damnation has A LOT of filler, but I can’t lie, I’ve been jamming it recently in hopes of it growing on me and it has. I still think it’s a bit of slog, has boneless -even for black metal- production, and some abysmal songs (“Babylon AD” for example), but it’s much better than initially gave it credit for. Dani sounds fantastic, the symphonic elements are super well-done, and the concept is pretty neat. It’s still easily one of my least favs from CoF, but I was wrong in terms of its actual quality.

I love Damnation.
It is very long and could be tiresome to some, but that also fits the biblical theme I guess.

oh man Babalon AD has some magical stuff in it. Dani is a maniac in that song.
Glad you're turning around on it though.

Yeah love Babalon too, it was one of my first CoF tracks though, so I'm biased. Plus the clip was awesome.

Babalon AD is pretty good but I wouldn’t say I love it. Def not a top tier Cradle song.

Shit, I still gotta jam their debut. I get too lost in dm. I don't know how many more years this binge can go on for. Feels permanent tbh lol
