Yeah I get that. I wasn't trying to propagandize Osteen, I was just saying that IDK what to figure about him cause I get conflicting testimony.

I understand that. Personally, I think about it like this:
Person A says that they have seen some leader act really terribly.
Person B says that they have only seen this leader act really nicely.
Those testimonies do not conflict. A leader can act really terribly in some situations, and with some people, and really nicely in other situations, with other people. The testimonies would only conflict if we thought that nice people are nice all the time and terrible people are terrible all the time. But that's not how human psychology works. E.g. abusers are frequently very different to their victims than to other people. And they get away with abuse for a long time because people who have experienced them only being nice "just can't believe" that the leader would do something like that.
So we can accept both testimonies and draw the conclusion that the leader is really nice in some situations and really terrible in others. That also allows us a draw a conclusion about the leader's character. All it takes to have terrible character is to act terribly some of the time, to some people. You don't get to count as having good character just because you are not universally terrible. And so in light of these testimonies, we should conclude that the leader has terrible character.

It seems Thrice are in the initial stages of production for their upcoming album; currently figuring out a concept à la Alchemy Index. Interesting...
Meanwhile I just discovered the single version for "Hold Up a Light" is slightly different than the album version, and it sounds slightly better with a few hold up a light's cut off, getting rid of the distorted guitar noises in the verses, lowering Dustin vox here and there and adding vocal effects in the bridge, and turning up the bass (which also makes the drums sound better). I managed to edit the song using the original FLAC audio files in a way that segues perfectly into the album if anyone is interested: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/j223aj7ejkcjx/Hold_up_a_Light_(edit)

Thanks for sharing your hard editing work! Not sure whether it might get you in trouble with the mods though. Copyright and all that.

"The ten-song LP was written over the past two years, recorded ourselves at our own New Grass Studio, and mixed by our good friend, Scott Evans. We’re really, really stoked on how it turned out, and hope you dig it!"

This robot song didn't grab my attention besides the Radiohead-like riff but I'll give it a few more spins.
