As far as the slur goes, I think that because Marshall hasn't been that open about his sexuality, it's still up in the air as to whether or not he himself is LGBT. It might be a case of "homophobic pastor turns out to be gay," though, so who knows.

Don't think a true homophobe would go on an A-list movie for a role where he was admitting to be gay. He does this shit solely to rile people up as has been proven so, so thoroughly in this thread and really the entire internet
