I still gotta spin My Shame. Are there any eps or comps (other than s/t) that are necessities?

Definitely check out Remains and Broken Wing

remains and broken wing are musts. remains is honestly better than like most of their albums (besides this, goddamnit, and good mourning) and broken wing might be my favorite ep of the decade. also check agony and irony’s bonus tracks (and addiction’s if your up for it not really essentials but both are great tunes especially kick rocks). in my stomach and burned is the house are the best songs from the agony sessions and its a huge bummer they were cut they wouldve made the album much better

I'm wondering if they'll release another compilation in the future. Because with the bonus tracks you mentioned and the Broken Wing ep they're up for another great one

I feel the same as Wonder, but since onion is my boy I shall up my rating.

Album Rating: 4.5
t hope they do another comp id love all those songs in one place but I’ve made my own combined playlist with remains anyway that I’d probably 5 if it was officially released (since really all that holds remains back is the live versions at the end and some covers) so w/e

What songs did you throw in there?
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
it’s literally just remains minus covers with all the bonus tracks frlm the last three tacked on the end
so after buried you get:
fire down below
burned is the house
in my stomach
kick rocks
those lungs
olde english
i remember a rooftop
broken wing ep
i have a separate covers playlist too

Oh like that. I always try to make album length playlists with somewhat of a consistent tone, so I think I have a playlist of Remains saved somewhere without the Crimson b-sides, live versions and I think rooftops. That record sounds like the missing link between From here to infirmary and good mourning
Have you heard A Song For Julie btw?

| |
Album Rating: 4.5
Wait I think I've never heard Fire Down Below. Where's that from? Olde english is so much fun. The song deserves some more attention

fire down below is on the 2007 warped comp and yea song for julie is cool. same with angel alcohol
i sorta have it broken up like a two discer where everything up to and including the byo is disc 1 and then the crimson songs onward are disc 2 to make it a more digestible listen

Album Rating: 4.5
That makes sense. I enjoy both 'eras' a lot, but they work better seperate imo. Checking fire down below now. A song for julie was kind of a gut punch the first time I heard it (still tbh)

yea it’s really great. that’s from the gm era right (not for the album but around that time i mean)?

I think so yeah. Not sure how reliable it is, but the Genius description says it's from 2002.
Fire Down Below is awesome. Honestly impressive how they managed to leave all the best song of Agony and Irony off the actual record

Album Rating: 4.5
fire is sick yea tho it’s actually a part of an unreleased album they’d written for v2 before the label like died and then they decided to make a different one from the ground up which ended up being agony
and i mean i like agony and all but that v2 album would’ve been so much better

Album Rating: 4.5
Was that the record he talked about in an interview with the Coldplay comparison?
Agony is amazing, but it's weird to see how much better it still could've been
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
i wouldnt go that far to call it amazing but it certainly is underrated
its really held back by a few things, a. burned is the house and in my stomach are not on it, b. live young die fast is fucking awful, and c. they like don't go all out like half the time for the sound they're trying to go for which i already sorta dont think is ideal for the group. the whole thing is pretty midtempo and the hooks are still solid which keeps it afloat a bit but when you get like lost and rendered, do you wanna know and especially i found away they make you wish the album was a lot better

Album Rating: 4.5
I have it at a 4, so I really like it. If you'd throw Live Young off and put the three bonus tracks on I might even raise my rating. Agony has some of their best hooks imo. Help Me, Over an Out, Do You Wanna Know and I Found Away are all amazing songs. I'd say the rest is great to excellent. There are times I prefer Agony over Crimson and From Here to Infirmary tbh
