Ahhhhh I suppose that should have been obvious
Yeah I fucking loveeeee the vox on that track wouldn’t have minded it being stretched out a bit more

yeah that’s gotta be like skibas best vocals since at least 2003

doing my first listen now
Demon and Division ughhh is so good
EDIT: I Can't Believe too, DAMN.

Album Rating: 4.5
I can’t believe is my favorite here for sure

Exactly, the song should end and cut out the monotonous silence but the song itself shouldbve been longer, maybe another stanza/chorus etc.

yea like maybe a bridge and then like an even more impactful final chorus and it’d be like a top three alkaline song for me. i kinda like the ending thing but it goes on waaay too long which is basically the only thing preventing it from being my favorite trio closer

I Can't Believe and Heart Attacks are by far my favorites from this, yet I find I'm not skipping anything on this record, so no bad songs on here.

first album since crimson where i have no interest in skipping stuff yeah. those two songs extremely rule. matts melody in both are top notch and lyrically heart attacks hard brings the while you’re waiting and trouble breathing vibes in the lyrics which are two of my favorite trio songs

Pale Blue Ribbon is one of Dan's best songs ever. Love his relatively aggressive output here.

Album Rating: 4.5
yea this is the most aggressive dans been maybe ever and it rules. worn so thin i especially didn’t expect we’d get out of him

then 5 it
honesty this might overtake good mourning for my fav alkaline someday

"then 5 it"
I thought you might say that haha. I would but there are just a couple songs near the middle that I'm not feeling as much
And I agree about Krystaline needing a bridge and one more chorus, although what's there is fucking amazing

Album Rating: 4.5
yea at first the middle lost me a bit but that was mostly cos I thought goodbye fire island sounded like blink which was weird for the album but after listening to the album like 100 times its grown on me soooo hard. pale blue ribbon is the only not 5/5 song for me atm and it's still insanely sick I can just like never remember how it goes when it's done. but it's made up for by still owning and every other song on the album being arguably all in like my top 25 alkaline prob

| |
Album Rating: 3.5
yeah pale blue ribbon might be my least favorite Dan track here but it's still fantastic. it was a favorite after my first couple listens but not so much now. I can't believe is the one that just doesn't do much for me at all, which is weird since that seems to be a common favorite
the album starts and finishes so strong though it's ridiculous

you and rowan both aren’t into that one ye. it might actually be my favorite on the album, or at least second behind krystalline. i love the feel of the song, derek’s drumming on it, matts vocal line (especially the prechorus), delivery, and the vocal harms so so so much
god i love alkaline trio

I really love this record, but I'm pretty sure it'll never become my favorite. Goddamnit, Maybe I'll Catch Fire and Good Mourning are just too good.
God I love Alkaline Trio [2]
