To be fair, Fortnite is a free game, so... just don't buy skins?

God dude, you're right. I remember a friend of mine from back in my early highschool days who would purchase coins or whatever currency Clash of the Clans had. I have no idea cause I never got sucked into that shit. I thought it was the dumbest thing ever... complete waste.
As a wise man once said, video games nowadays are just trojan horses for microtransactions.

I'm just saying ever since Fortnite became extremely popular, a lot of games have been adapting that stupid fucking battle pass system.

Yes, but the same thing happened with Call of Duty Modern Warfare back in '07.

Ah yes, the dreaded DLC packs. I didn't start playing cod until the MW2 days, and I never bought the DLC, so they kinda just remained an afterthought to me.

Just play indies! Blasphemous, Celeste, Hollow Knight, Shovel Knight, The Messenger, Dead Cells, Rime, Pyre, Transistor?? All truly phenomenal games

All of my yes to all of those! Indie devs bring that classic spirit like no other. Playing through Blasphemous now and that shit rules hard.

Same! Having a great time with it

You guys are gonna hate me when I say I haven't played any of those. Any indie horror games you would also recommend?

OBSERVER!!! I’m playing through it currently and oh my god it’s stunning

Outlast dude. Fantastic game that actually made me pussy out a couple times. Particularly Richard Trager. Had to turn the game off for a bit after he cuts your fingers off.
