Well, even if the end result is an album of scattered ideas (which for the record, I think the album flows pretty well from one song to the next), then those individual ideas are still strong on their own. I don't find any song on this album to be half baked or somehow of an obvious lesser quality.

His flow isn't necessarily the main draw for me here, so I can't say that it is any more interesting or intricate than you claim. It's just the feel of these songs overall. As noler was getting at, the album is more about vibe and atmosphere than anything else for me.

Idk I kind of dig what he did with his flows here. Like on sicko mode or the second half of stargazing where he just locks into a single cadence and gets a ton of mileage out of it. Makes those songs a lot more memorable/catchy to me, especially considering how non-linear they are.

"sorry, but "the feel" is not enough to call a song good." Completely subjective statement. And I'm a pretty big ambient music fan, so I also dig "the smallest auditory stimuli" quite often. So this argument can't be won.

But, all you're saying over and over is bad flows = bad songs, and I'm telling you that I'm not measuring the songs by this metric, therefore your argument serves no purpose.

I'm not saying you can't have subjective opinions, but you keep presenting them as facts. They just aren't.

Wow. We're pulling out the "you don't know what real hip-hop is" argument now? lol

Opinions by nature are subjective though. That was my whole point. lmao

I think Goosebumps or Antidote would’ve been a better song for him to perform last night cause I feel like Sicko Mode is just as much a Drake song as it is a Travis song and it’s kind of akward to see him perform it without Drake.

Gotta promote the new album ig

"yoyr debate of everything is subjective is super dismissive of any actual intelligent music conversation or debate "

lol

"all of this is opinion, and you can certainly negate my opinion with a more in depth critique than "subjective, case closed""

just means he doesn't care

"and yes, because if a rappers flow is not considered in your enjoyment of rap music, anyone who is ingrained in the culture or music is gonna laugh you out the room"

idk just listen to instrumental hip hop or something lol
