Also I thought I heard JID for the first time on Frozen by James Blake and then his excellent album last year and I thought I heard JPEG for the first time this year with Danny Brown but both of them on this from way back years ago! The JID feature on Sirens is great as well!

Melt my eyez is just more interesting beat wise IMO, but to each their own. Did a first listen of Imperial and it indeed slaps. Probably more than this.
But I still ask myself Ryu, how can you dislike this and love early stuff ? For me it just make no sense at all because musically or lyrically it is not that far away ? I know music is subjective, but maybe I just brain myself out all the time ?
At the same time I say that but I did not enjoyed the most recent George clanton that much but for me I enjoyed everything else they did more (ESPRIT stuff included) .. See I am just an idiot contradicting myself, but at the same time I couldnt see myself giving it a 2

i dont really love any of his stuff, his early stuff probably tops out at like a 3.5 for me. i like the style of production waay more on the earlier stuff, and his rapping too
