Top 1 Deafheaven track:
From the Kettle Onto the Coil

Roads feels a bit monotonous to me. The length does work in its favor though.

Cool can't wait to listen to this in 5 years when the hype'll be dead

Then ur dum and I cannot see you.
But for real, what's with the 1.5?
|
| |
@TheBarber I feel that hard. Actually getting to an album on time-ish for once.

Just gave Honeycomb another try but my shovethistoomanypeoplelikeit senses just got the better of me and I had to slightly barf at the sheer neverendingness of that track. Like being on a one-hour long rollercoaster ride stuck between fat people.
Gonna go back to DungeonBoy's dark folk / neofolk list where I belong

I gave it a 1.5 because I think it’s borderline awful. the first song is genuinely terrible, I wanted honeycomb to be over before I even hit the 4 min mark and it had another 7+ minutes. laughable solos, boring guitar work. I felt extremely annoyed by some of the songs, like I physically couldn’t stand it. it took effort for me to finish the album

It's at least better than the pile of smoking trash that was New Bermuda but I don't think it's special or anything and I like thisd sort of music a lot
|
| |
I really like it because it, like, subverted my expectations n that

For some people, it looks like this album subverted expectations in The Last Jedi-like fashion.

Since when are you a fan of indie rock Hawks? That's what this album is + bm vocals. Reorient your expectations, this ain't metal.
