Well then

And you don't have the mental capacity or intelligence to describe why you like it, so what's the big deal?

Are you kidding me? Read my last comments and get back to me, thanks.

Hopelust was a run on loving Hopesfall; being upset when they broke up. Pretty much it. They got me through some dark days.

Honestly I wouldn't even know why someone classified as a hipster wouldn't like this. It fits perfectly with hipster related activities.

"I think the first track is gorgeous. The ocean waves intro with the piano ballad moving minor to major is fantastic. I'm fairly impartial to the narrative aspect of it, but I can appreciate that it's on par with the thematic elements of the album. The guitar midway gives a classic rock feel that I also quite enjoy, followed by the lead guitar near the end that pretty much sets up the rest of the album, and harkens back to the Sunbather days... spectacular."
His mental capacity seems fine

I haven't even listened to a Hopesfall song, I'm tempted to check them out now though. That name is sweet, I'm tempted to steal it from you haha. And yeah, this perfectly caters to hipsters which is exactly why they are lashing out. If they accept it then they're technically not hipsters so you see the conundrum for them.

@Hopelust
I did. "I like how this leads to this because I like how this leads to this, I like this because I find it mesmerizing and I like that, I like this because riffage is wild and I like that; I don't like these two as much as the rest because I don't like these two as much as the rest but it's ok because overall I like this".
Everything you said has no value, stop pretending it does. Your other comment about the first track is equally worthless in a serious discussion.

If that's not valid then show me a better critique. His description was totally fine, don't be a fucker.
|
| |
I can't make a better critique, if anything, I can make something equally pointless; but contrary to him I'm not pretending I can make a good critique/description/analysis/whatever. He only describes how he feels about the album, if he wants to do that, fine, but he shouldn't pretend that he is more intelligent than someone else.

bro he wrote a coherent paragraph describing how he felt. That's fairly impressive on sput, why you gotta be hard? If you have any better criticisms of the album I'm happy to hear any good ones. Sorry if you've already done so, I haven't followed the whole thread.
|
| |
I haven't, I'm not going with bother with that, sorry to disappoint. Maybe eventually I will be able to make a proper critique, but in the meantime, most of the time I'm just going to do what most people here do: say how they feel about something. Again, if he wants to describe how he feels that's fine, my only problem is saying others (me, maybe Hawks too, I don't know) are idiots when all he did was describe how he feels about the album; personally, I don't find that impressive at all.

Love when this site doesn't post my comment but I said as a person who still really enjoys this album, the first song is an absolutely terrible opener and it deserves every bit of hate it gets.

This thread sucks worse than the album itself.
