Beginning of Worthless Animal gave me Vertigo vibes

Wow!
I'm not THAT huge into these guys compared to most of this site's userbase (they've released lots of cool stuff, but I don't listen to their albums so often), but I've been jamming Roads to Judah a lot lately. Language Games and Tunnel of Trees are so damn good and sublime.
Guess I need to jam New Bermuda more before getting into this one huh.

Also, is this the album where they finally do the vowel thing (DFHVN) with their band name? XD

finished my first listen of this not too long ago and i was absolutely floored by "canary yellow" and "glint". "worthless animal" also hell of a closer too.
it's much too early for me to say much about this album but i think it's a worthy and necessary addition to the band's discography.

I gotta say this is quite fantastic stuff. Only gripe was "Night People" as I felt that track was really poorly done.

Dunno man, I have a soft spot for Chelsea Wolfe, really digged it, and it seemed like a more relevant "interlude" than the ones they made for Sunbather.

Hey those interludes were actually quite good. Especially Irresistible

I will admit that this is only my first listen of the album so far. I'm pretty sure that track will grow on me. I just can't wait to see these guys on the 22nd this month. Stoked!

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I like them, but the ones in here seem way more relevant, more dynamic and experimental.

You're in for a treat, they are an incredible live band, and I think the new material will translate beautifully to a live setting.

I hear they’re pretty awkward to see live

Not at all, it's a different experience, that's for sure.

I've seen some shit bands and I've also seen some incredible ones. I've been through a ton of awkward as well. One moment I will never forget was watching Marilyn Manson shove a towel up his ass and then proceed to throw into the crowd. Not only was that gross, the motherfucker forgot the lyrics to every song that night. That was whenever he was on Mayhem Fest that one year.
