Staff, haven't kept up with how the user list is going. Don't get me wrong I didn't go into the staff list looking for / expecting this, but I think it's worthy

"Aric's solo album is a 40 minute long drum solo and it is sick"

Any drum solo over 20 seconds long is a bad idea

Honestly a 40 min drum solo from this guy sounds amazing. I'm there.

I agree with bloc but it's not what I'd call a typical drum solo. The samples and electronics take it up a notch. My buddy who doesn't play drums watched the whole thing, which is probably the highest praise I can give it

Considering how the world turned to shit, I'm really fucking sad to NOT have done the fucking trip to Dam to see them live on Feb 15th. Would have been my last legal gig of the year probs

i really loved the instrumentation, but i really loved only the instrumentation. other than that, most of the album was exhausting to listen and not in a good way

Should I tell him that the whole album is instrumental?

In metal, The Joy of Motion by Animals As Leaders is the closest I've heard.

It's not 100% instrumental (has some random shouting vocals in the background in some songs, but sometimes I forget they are even there cuz it's so dense and layered) but I absolutely love Irepress - Sol Eye Sea I

Also, I am a sucker for most of Cloudkickers stuff, and Beacons is one of my favorite albums

And agreed, Joy of Motion is awesome, too

Glad I revisited this. Excellent pacing and use of restraint. Can see this becoming a night drive album for me
