I'm sure I would dig this, but the "band" name makes me so angry for no real reason.

The band name is supposedly a nerdy grammar joke about comma usage. Let's Eat, Grandma vs. Let's Eat Grandma. I didn't read the full story about it.

Agreed though, just like with tUnE yArdS or whatever they're called

An appropriate score for sure. The fact that this has 3 SOTY contenders bumps this up even more for me. Have a favorite song Lucid?

Cool and Collected & Donnie Darko are both amazing. When the beat comes in on the latter followed by the monotone verse is the record highlight. Such a natural and enthralling passage.

Just talking about it made me go back and listen. Pop gold.

They have a peculiar knack for longform progressive pop. I think they'd pull off a single-track album exceptionally well, hope they consider that at some point. This is clearly meant to be a breakthrough record (catchy single, midtempo cuts & lengthy compositions in a package that proves their worth), sets the groundwork for artistic diversions. Looking forward to following their career.

I think what Lucid said about this being an obvious breakthrough moment is spot on. Hopefully they'll get more recognition after this.
