for one I'd expect far more vulgarity from a true "incel anthem"
Um, so 1) the lyricism here is so on-the-nose that if I'd probs consider it unsubtle to the point of vulgarity without feeling like a snob, and 2) regardless of that, part of the reason those attitudes are so toxic is because they come off as righteous and admirable (or, at least, relatable in their frustration) to some people, rather than as obnoxious turn-offs (as they should)
think some of those ridiculous lyrics off Chelsea Grin's Self Inflicted or Thy Art's debut EP
I have not heard these releases and will do my best to keep it that way.
This feels far more mature in comparison.
Please provide a single mature stanza from this album.

@Johnny: take anything from Under Again or Coma, that should probably work.
@Pika: lol, sure

Now that Johnny mentions it "Bullet For My Valentine" is kind of a very incel sounding bandname.

Also compare anything here to this drek: "Lets get it straight / Close your legs / You are everything I hate / Confess your love to me? / You were just fucking me / Our love was fake / How'd it taste? / When I spit right in your face / I put my trust in you / But you just fucked that too"

hahahahaha love that song

it slaps otherwise but my god if Gravity is incel that is 100x worse

and just like that, deflecting to an entirely different artist to avoid a point

Can't both be incel, but one of them is just worse?

if you think that the likes of:
So I know this hasn't gone the way that we expected
You had to try to make a fool of me and live a better days
I tried to compromise with open arms but we're disconnected
Seems to me we need to draw a line for everybody's sake
Before it washes us away
isn't in exactly the same ballpark just because it has fewer f-bombs and sex references, there's not much I can do to help you. Under Again are Coma are better in that they focus pretty much exclusivity on the narrator's headspace and not his misconceived notion of the wider world, but also equally awful in that they're written with the craft of a middle school daydream addict who hurt their thumbs so badly trying to learn punch harmonics that they became incapable of opening a fucking thesaurus once in a while.

"Now that Johnny mentions it "Bullet For My Valentine" is kind of a very incel sounding bandname."
i mean we're talking about a group whose first lyric of first well-known song (not to mention debut LP's artwork) goes There goes my valentine again / soaked in red for what she said
not sure how this discussion has gone on so long already
