yeah I get that, some of the bashing is definitely over the top and borders on trolling. they definitely don’t get the flak they get here on other sites. more people seem to like them than dislike and it just appears there is a large group of anti-recent-code orange people here

yap. thats about it. The dude that wrote the review gave this a 4.5 and already have 4 pages of 1.5below comments. Its hard for me to think this deserves so many words in a review. The 2nd track for me is 3.5 track. The rest did nothing for me.

Conversely, I'd say the amount of hate they get here is to make up for the lack of criticism they recieve elsewhere. I mean ffs Forever has an 87 on metacritic and got nominated for a grammy.

Shouldn't that ring a little bell on you? I guess not X)

Seriously, I like when sput gives you a space of intellectual freedom for all kind of opinions. Sometimes the positive hypes don't help you with that either, but at least they are positive.

The remix track was definitely kind of bland, but the two new tracks are pretty sick. The band members sound like douches, but it's not like they're fucking FFDP or some shit. They seem to be legitimately trying to innovate on hardcore as a genre, and so I'm just excited for when they finally drop a cohesive record which fully realizes their vision.

"They seem to be legitimately trying to innovate on hardcore as a genre"

Nu-Metal and Hardcore are valid genres too, Scythe. I'm not trying to call them the saviors of heavy music or any other bullshit media description, but I do think that the incorporation of some of the better parts of Nu-Metal, Death Metal, and Sludge Metal into Hardcore is an interesting and innovative move.

if this is considered innovation I hope hardcore stagnates

I could start a hardcore band that only covers Nickelback songs with a xylophone and accordion and it would technically be "innovative"

Hardcore isn’t gonna stagnate anytime soon, but I hope the nü Metal revival fucks off sooner than later

I would have preferred they do a cover of Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On
