i don't know what everyone else is hearing in this
beauty in falling leaves to me sounds like marrow without the payoff and worse vocals and the title track sounds like it goes for the same thing
the rest of it suffers too. the riff in the screen is absolutely hideous and i find in reverie so boring. the only track i actually like from start to finish is ablaze. i suppose original face and lungs reach are alright.
am i just dead inside idk

Fantastic album, might be their best since The Great Cessation. The opening, Beauty In Falling Leaves and t/t are magnificently composed epics but the whole album channels pain, sadness, grief and redemption so well. Also Mike's vocals are so good.

Quite possibly the most emotional and cathartic YOB album i've ever heard. If this was their last album it would be the most beautiful way to say goodbye. I'm glad these dudes will keep pounding on though. And i'm glad Mike is ok. He's one of the best rhythmic guitarists in the genre.
