the same people that wrote harambe on the ballot in 2016 are gonna vote for kanye
|

it was obvious who trump was appealing to
at least it was obvious to those of us watching the shitshow from abroad
american democrats being too smug and self-assured to realise the vast amounts of racial resentment he was appealing to, is not my problem
trump was the candidate of silent whites who felt like immigrants were taking their jobs while the media accused them of being privileged entitled etc. he was the one who said fuck immigrants, fuck mexico, make white america great again.
kanye will not sway trump voters
american democrats are currently fully behind a movement aimed at exposing and addressing the systemic racism in the police force and how it disproportionately affects black americans. those people will not vote for kanye, a man who said that slavery is a choice and essentially told blacks to stop whining and work harder. he's a narcissistic out of touch millionaire
kanye will not sway biden voters
he has no platform. trump had a platform, even if american democrats were too proud to admit or even to understand that he did. thats the difference
consider thinking for a minute instead of being condescending for no reason

havent rappers been saying for years that they'll run for president and never actually do though? also what is it with a lot of Americans thinking good media personality = good president material?

but what the hell do i know about US politics to be fair...
|

there is an entire section of leftbook that is honestly trying to justify kanye being a better third party candidate than hawkins and la riva and i think it gave me CTE

The only way Kanye will steal votes is if people keep talking about it 👀
(this is also directed at myself)

I forgot this album exists

i think kanye needs help

Couldn't agree more
Also, despite him renouncing his Trump support, his run might be a ploy to siphon votes from Biden

>Also, despite him renouncing his Trump support, his run might be a ploy to siphon votes from Biden
i strongly urge you to check my post on the previous page
im curious if anyone finds my points lacking
|
| |
I agree with a lot of the points you made Park but ultimately I don't think it matters what Kanye does or doesn't stand for, people will vote for him just cause he's popular/makes music they like, or because he's not the typical 75 year old politician type
|
| |
>or because he's not the typical 75 year old politician type
im not american but i really dont think many people will vote for this reason
it is unfortunate that the narrative of "people voted for trump because he was different from other politicians" has been spread so effectively
|
| |
Not American either but I think it was a factor. Far from the only factor though

Thats not a narrative Park, that is the main reason I hear people say they voted for him, he's not a politician so he'll drain out all the crooks!!! Then second is usually the fact that he's so brash and has no filter, which comes back to not being a politician, realistically.
