It's a site where I believe people police how high the ratings get for whatever reason, it's a real strange hive behaviour, trust me 3.5 is a good rating score there

Yeah! The band has since blossomed a bit with two more members but this record was primarily made by me with help from my bandmate Ethan on sax.

I lost it 33 hours 26 minutes and 17, 18, 19...seconds ago
Not that I’m obsessed with it or anything
There will be a small ceremony yes, a Doof retrospective where we can all fondly remember the goof times
A list. I’ll put up a Sput list.

@Sandwich Thank you! We'll definitely be making a follow-up. This is deeeeeefinitely not intended to be our peak ;)

@plane god I can't fathom the amount of money that would cost lmao

there's quite a distinct side A (1-5) and side B (6-9) here, I find myself picking which half I want to hear
|

oh yeah? that's interesting. I kind of get it, there's a mood change. I guess I see SC and Vines as sister songs in a way but they are very different

This runs into an issue I've had with most records heavy on spoken word. The first few passes are the most impactful then the words tend to fly by. A melody has a greater capacity to stir you time after time (which is clearly why it's the standard mode for lyrical music). Nevertheless, still find a lot to enjoy here and eager for what's next.

Can't say I'm totally on board with the vocal style in a lot of places, but a lot of the atmospheric sections here are quite beautiful. Very creative.
