I'd say Blackwater Park is objectively flawless as well, but somewhere in that flawlessness it loses it's character. Still Life has flaws and quirks, but they give it a character that elevates it above anything else Opeth ever wrote. There's just something special about it.

God I love London so much haha, I could just fangirl over it for days on end. I didn't know that about that piano bit, it sounds terrifying tho. God Voices are so good...

I'm absolutely in love by this album vibe...the post aspects (mainly the dark postpunk vibe) with Aker's geniality reminiscence...Dead Feelings is such a track...

This is decent but idk I’m not feeling it too hard tbh. Def can’t touch anything in Akercocke’s discog.

I really like this one because its so different in direction...but London is much more for an Akercocke fan I'd say.

I mean this isn’t bad it just kinda doesn’t go anywhere for me. And I don’t really dig the vox at all tbh.

Yeah I gave this a try and immediately knew I was not going to vibe with this at all. Shame too cuz it fits all the descriptions I'd enjoy for this stuff.

honestly this one started to stood out for me after IWSYA track followed by Dead Feelings...Willie said something right in his soundoff "Maybe it's because Akercocke are back together, and so they don't need this band to output their twisted progressive death metal anymore, but "Frightened" sounds nothing like its two predecessors."
