@ Jethro

I can see your point of view and I know you dislike New Age music. I don't have problems with that. I can accept that. However, I think the album is very good as a whole and has many prog traces. Besides, I think it's one of the most original albums made in the 70's. And as a said to Twig, I'm very impressed with the capacity of Anderson plays so many different music instruments. But, above all, it would be impossible for me don't review this album in a prog journey through the world of Yes.

Besides, I had already suspected that you didn't like the album, since you didn't have rated the album yet. No problem buddy. After all we are talking about music, a very subjective thing. By the other hand, I know that many prog fans expected a different kind of album by one of the best and respected prog artists, ever.

But, I'm sure that many things that will come, put by me in the next months, will please you much more.

Cheers.

@e21; Album is better than I thought at first, so I'll have to spin it again, and see what I can do.

I have always relied on your good taste Jethro. Lol.

Now seriously. Try to forget, a bit, the part with most references to the New Age music on the album. This is a conceptual album, which is one of the main carachteristics of the prog music. I insist that many prog traces can be find on the album. Maybe I'm being very insistent and pigheaded, bur sincerelly I think this was the best and most innovative solo release by the five solo albums made by Yes' members, in that time. Despite I love Squire's solo album, I think this is a better and most original album than that album. As I wrote before, "Olias Of Sunhillow" and "Story Of I" are the two most innovative and original albums of those five albums. It isn't as good as this one, but it's great too. I know you aren't a gret fan of Moraz, but you must be prepared because I'm going to review that album too. It's not an accquired taste, but still is very original and innovative too, or even more. Besides, but be prepared, because I intent to review all those five albums... and much more...

I can see the light now. Jon is top shape behind the micro. As I said before, I would prefer a full band to accompany him with more traditional rock instruments, but all these good melodies make up for it. I almost appreciate the entire album for what it is, but some sounds -or noises- still irritate my ears. So overall, I can easily give a 3.5. It's better than my first thought which was only fixed at a 2.5.

Nice Jethro. 3.5 is a good rating. As it grew up in you with the auditions maybe, with time, it can grow even more. Who knows? I'm glad that my review brought more interest to this album. I hope the same with the next ones, since almostof all are very little rated on Sputnik, yet.

Cheers bro.
