Really? They opened with Black Car at my show. Wait and see, hopefully they'll play it.

oh worddd yeah i just looked again and they were playing it a little while back. looks like they seem to open up with levitation, l'inconnue, or black car. idk even if they don't play that i'm super excited for the set. i've heard nothing but good things about their performance this tour.

Oh shit, a Levitation opening sounds fucking awesome. Whatever the case, I've always thought Beach House's music sounds best when played dangerously loud and their live show pretty much proved that.

Oh yeah, it's a real physical ride, in terms of volume.

This is solid. Would be better if the first half was as good as the second.

I want to like this but second half draaaaaags... a bit.

Yeah idk man, by the time i get to Lose Your Smile my attention span has died already. Dark Spring and Dive still my songs to go off this.

If I didn't like the last two albums and they're the only beach house I sat down and listened to all the way through, would I like this?

Tough to say, this is pretty different than those imo. I think Depression Cherry is far superior to this but this is far superior to TYLS so you could really go either way.

What if I'm not really a fan of dream pop to begin with. Will this change my mind?

this is their best lol.
i dunno if it'll change your mind on dream pop, but it's certainly more interesting than just plain old dream pop. there's buncha stuff going on here.

What this really has going for it is how varied and dynamic this is - though by that same token this also feels like their least cohesive.

even if there isn't a strong tonal guideline or a defined structure to this i still feel it flows really well. I can play it back to back no problem.

kind of love that the chainsmokers released a song called "beach house." this type of facile spotify mood music fits well with their fanbase
