Disagree about AM. That album had its corny moments, but plenty of nod-your-head, tap-your-foot earworm riffs and tunes. This is like an empty carton of soy milk

AM has 2 or 3 songs I don't care for, but I love the rest of it.

AM is too blah and derivative too much of the time, like it's good but this is more interesting and creative imo

Definition of a 'grower album' for me. My first impressions were not that positive, simply down to the massive shift in sound. However, I've grown to really like this and it's the type of album to spin when you're in a mellow, reflective mood. Not my favourite Arctic Monkeys album (I know it gets some flak on here, but AM is a five star, for me, and their first two are just as good), but the polarity of reviews here is surprising. I'm seeing them in London when they tour the UK in September, never seen them live before (which I needed to sort out, because they're one of the my favourite bands). Anybody seen them live in 2018?

I have! This tour has been more subdued from the previous shows i've seen of theirs but that's expected considering material. Still bloody good live and never miss a note. They play barely any of their first 3 albums though.

Bigpapad, that's a bit of a shame they don't play much material off the first three albums. I've checked out their set from the TRNSMT Festival, and while they sounded amazing, they've definitely slowed down the old classics.

reminds me a lot of the latest timber timbre, another massively underrated album.

I've been waiting patiently for "that album" of this year and it still hasn't revealed itself. Maybe this is it?
