I enjoy this but I'm not getting the strong vibes everyone else is. Also I really enjoy this on my first couple listens but a single track really has jumped out on me like their last record, where Waitress blew me away. I also think the vocal style becomes very predictable by the end. Soft beginning, bellow out transition, upbeat medium volume chorus, rinse and repeat.

I tried their last two albums but her voice was a bit too much for me, which is weird because I can usually vibe with just about any voice. I've since steered clear of them until I decided to give this a chance and I'm glad I did. Despite being impressively intricate the music goes down so smoothly, as does her voice, and I'm loving it. It's helping me open up to their previous records too.

imo their vocalist and drummer have a lot to do with it. I can dance to this and the hooks are catchy af. Meanwhile the the intricate guitars will keep me coming back. And the strings tho.
