Had to leave a comment on this eventually. This is probably the most significant and well put together record I have ever heard and probably ever will hear, at least in my opinion. Too many of the lyrics hit uncannily close to home for me to not reserve a special place in my heart for this record. Mirror to Mirror is enjoyable as well, but it just doesn't have the technical proficiency or production to back the emotional onslaught that is the 2018 version.
I do like Will's more lo-fi stuff, Nervous Young Men blends his more traditional indie rock with it well, but this record is just perfect in every single way in my opinion, and is the standard for which I base my other 5's/classics on in terms of quality/continuity of themes and songwriting, as well as how memorable and engaging each song can be on their own as well as in the context of the record.
