I liked the original a lot more before this came out, it was very much a 'time and place' thing with the buzz around bandcamp and /mu/ being the tastemakers of the day

This is how Will envisioned the album in 2011 and he finally got the budget to achieve it.

"Is the original more interesting than this"

its better if you're into the more emotional aspect of music, which I am so yeah

and I think some of the songs just were objectively better back then, Sober to Death and Stop Smoking being the most obvious

Will got the drumsounds so right on his bandcamp records

hi fidelity sucks all the charm and soul out of it, it actually sounds as if Will didn't even want to go back to it but just had to, I know that's the case for Sober which he talked about in an early interview and dude it shows

can already tell by the response to CCMD and Martin that the new album will be a big disappointment for a lot of people

Yeah, I thinke the same. I do like them, but Will is trying something different and I'm incredibly stoked.

Plus another record in the same vein and class as "Twin Fantasy" and "Teens Of Denial" should be impossible.

And in the sky, there is a place

Where it's warm, and you're there

And I've got the power now

Yeah, I know what to do

To make you feel something besides pain

'Cause it's the love

That we've come to expect, to deserve

And then we fuck and it's nice

It's not a complicated mess

And my back doesn't hurt

And your head doesn't tell you to kill yourself

So we smile and embrace

Until we don't know who we are

man 2013-14 Will was something else
