I'm really hoping he releases an album impossible for people to ignore next time out, think he has the talent, and then one day this has, uh, 30 votes? I'm playing a long game with this one.

What dreams may come.

Bless you Doof.

This is what I imagine you’d get if you took the best parts of Destroyer and Father John Misty and out them in a blender, with a sprinkling of Elvis Costello bar rock for seasoning.

He’s hard to pin down but I can hear a bit of a lot of what I like in there

Had my last radio show of the fall semester today and played the title track from this as the set closer :')

I'd gotten used to ending semesters with real slow-burners ("Hold on Magnolia" by Songs: Ohia was the last song I played as an intern in the spring, and then "Epilogue" by the Antlers was my last of the summer) - I wanted to mix it up this time by closing out on a peppier note

Also that 3 is probably too conservative at this point - according to last.fm, this is my eighth-most scrobbled 2018 album

Yeah, I feel you Dyl - half way through the year I saw this was my most played 2018 album and that’s when I finally admitted it’s a 4.5 for me. Listening yesterday and it still deserves that 4.5.

Last song is incredible, def top 4 on the album

Fair play spinning some Paddy on your radio show - bet he wouldn't have predicted this album would end up played anywhere in the States :D

It's the fourth tune I've played on the radio from this :D I've also played "Bad Boys," "All I Can Say Is I Love You," and "Toulouse the Kisser"

I was hoping someone had found out he's put out a release date for a new album ;D

If I had a pint of the dark stuff at my fingertips right now I'd neck it

New album is immense, it was time for him to deliver a polished album and he does - has an upbeat feel without being cheesy/forced, and he still keeps a bit of indie’ness I think he’ll always carry
