I wonder how they feel about the reception of this album -- I've only paid attention the response it's gotten here (which is average to negative) but I can only assume people elsewhere are only lukewarm about it. I hope they ditch trying to be BMTH on the next album and get back to what they do best.

@Spirit: I don't even think they intended to ape BMTH here, but it'd be interesting to see them bring back some of the elements that made albums like Disambiguation and DTGL the classics they really are. I feel like some would still complain about the lyrics even though they've always had fairly simple lyrics to a degree, "I swear I'm done with all of this" isn't exactly that poignant of a line even when compared to the supposed "shit edgy" lyrics on this album.

they’ll probably eventually go back to being heavier once the reception towards this material begins to dwindle even more unless they actually get better at this style and write an album that’s better than being half good
like some of these songs don’t even show this style being a bad fit but when it drops the ball it drops the ball hard and unfortunately those have been the songs they want to push (rapture, ihateit)
