The clean vocals remain mediocre, but the songwriting has significantly improved. The title track, The Living Vault or Message Sonore are killer tech jams.

The benefit is that the cleans were pretty much cut, so they only marginally interfere when they do show up. And I'm glad you're rockin' it birby man m/

This worth a listen when I didn't like the previous two?

The cleans marginally interfere, agreed.

The lead harmonies on The Living Vault are incredible.

@Thal: I'd say it is. People who weren't necessarily sold on their other work seem to be finding this one more attractive in comparison. Might be worth a check

The cool thing about this album is that it's pretty much just the band, and that leaves the songs to stand on their own. On their debut you had Operatic guest vocals on a couple tracks, and there were a few different guest spots on Fragmentary Evidence.

Not to say that "Illusive Golden Age" is stripped down, or anything like that, but it really shines as a work of the band.

Oh man hawks you gotta jam Fragmentary. Modern classic no joke. The debut rules too but Frag is my favorite. This may take the spot though

Yeah Frag is godly. One of the best tech death albums ever.

Listening to this now, and it's everything I could ever hope for. Really satisfied with it.

This is pretty much the kind of tech that I generally seek out, pulled off very well.

Got my bundle in the mail! Gonna harass people who don't even care about metal about this album for the next few months. The label threw in a compilation album of their bands too and man definitely gonna check a handful of their releases.

Really? That's pretty sweet. What label do they hail from anyways?
