I disagree, but can understand why people like Women more. I feel like Viet Cong is their absolute best. My favorite songs from Women are the songs that sound most like Viet Cong- go figure.

Also, I just finished this and I actually reeeeeeally enjoyed it. I can see why it is a bit polarizing, because it doesn't sound a whole lot like their previous output. But I feel like the overall vibe and sound they went with works really well.



I didn't care for Doubt, but it could grow on me. Other than that, I thought this was fantastic. WAY better than their last album- it is way more focused and enjoyable.

im sort of confused with the reaction this is getting. seems like something you would like if you liked their second album.

I adored their second album, but this just has absolutely minimal punch to it. The songs are constructed awkwardly and the even more dissonant production dissolves any trace of depth in the song-writing. It just feels like an odd, deformed blimp of ideas waiting to be realised.

So far one of the biggest letdowns of the year, together with Young Fathers.
