It's alright. Pretty good. Gets a bit repetitive/boring after awhile and a rough listen start to finish. Found myself getting distracted and wanting to take breaks. Most of the songs are enjoyable, but only as songs. As a whole, kinda meh and kinda wears on me.

Part of me feels like I should rate this to counter the nonstop negativity itt but the average rating is already where it should be it's just you lot are so damn vocal.

So, I just listened to this a few times now... here's the problem I'm having with it:
I do enjoy the sense of adventure this album has, as if you're going on an expedition of sorts (it reminds me a bit of Scale the Summit in that way). But two things are holding it back in a major way: the unfocused ADD-ridden songwriting, and how plain exhausting the album length eventually becomes. By a certain point, it just starts to sound like a bunch of random pieces matched together without much coherency. In fact, I kinda agree with Snox that the dull metal passages tend to distract from the better parts and don't blend too well with the eclectic genre-bending

Sadly, this album just kinda bores me :/

I am not a fan of the production here. There is something lifeless about it.
The songwriting is stellar at times but gets kind of bloated and pointless towards the end of the album.

I can agree this may not be as good as it looks at first, after a few listens, although i think the AVG is pretty right.

I just realized that RoN is opening for Dying Fetus in my town this weekend and now I'm definitely fucking going. I haven't been to a good metal show in a couple years now.

Daaaaaaaaaamn that's rough dude. I would kill to see that live. I haven't had interest in live shows for a while now since not many of the bands I really have been digging have been coming to my town but it's about to get good. Obituary, Pallbearer, and Skeletonwitch in May, Neurosis, Converge, and Amenra in July, and I think there was another in July or August that is supposed to be really good that I'm not remembering at the moment.

Get outta here!
Neurosis, Converge, and Amenra would blow my mind. Obituary, Pallbearer must be great gigs to...

I think the Neurosis gig is the "other" one I was thinking of. And yeah! I'm betting Pallbearer is a trip live, as will be Obituary.

There are people in this thread who’ve 4d this who agree that the production sucks or that the writing is bland or that it lacks riffs and some of us like those aspects of an album to not suck
