Ah okay lol. In my defense, not in the best mood, currently watching my team get demolished in the National Championship

I'm so behind on 2018 stuff, this semester's kept me busier than usual

got a couple of those albums listed on the other page (and like, 50 more) on my to-check list though. Hopefully gonna knock a fair chunk out by the end of the month

Haha feels bad freddie. For the record I don't dislike this, but I do stand by my statement that it's kinda homogeneous

To be fair it's grown off me a bit, it's feels a bit overlong and does get kinda samey

also the drum production on literally all their albums is really bad

this one's the closest to being good but holy shit that extremely loud reverb on every single drum track on this whole album is the least tasteful thing

I feel like I need to stop thinking of brand new whenever I give these guys a listen because in no way is this shit close enough to filling the brand new hole

I honestly wouldn't really think of Brand New at all listening to this album if it wasn't for the fact that Brand New has been mentioned on literally every page of every review of every album this band has done

Ore is kinda lame

Really? I would have thought it was a Brand New b-side collection if I didn't know what I was listening to

This album is actually the least like Brand New that they've ever been, but even then the resemblance vocally is uncanny.

And if you want to get into the really nitty gritty, Mason has a naturally higher voice. Jesse sings much better in a lower, moodier register whereas Mason sounds almost Paul Simon-esque at times.
