@Faenrir

my comment about you being ignorant was soley based on:

'i don't see why they'd play those (70's tracks) for a minority of fans.'

Minority of fans? There is a reason Victim Of Changes is played as a set closer or encore my friend. Songs like Victim, Dreamer Deceiver, and Tyrant are stone cold classics man.

Firedust being delusional again. That's called dementia, mate. When you try over and over to troll with the same result (it's not working *wink wink* xD )

@Titan:

Yes, in lives, it's a minority. Maybe overall it isn't but live, yeah it is. Which is my point, why would they play live songs that most people at concerts might not like (or even know for the younger ones).

As Priest once said, you don't have to be old to be wise. And you don't have to be old to love the old stuff, which is superior.

Faenrir dude if you've been to Priest shows, and they start playing ~the old shit~ the place goes berserk

I love 80's Priest just like you, hell i grew up on that stuff man, but it doesn't have the same mystique that 70's Priest has

Saw them with Ripper :P

Wasn't very interested in seeing them anymore until now (since Halford seems to have recovered somewhat and Firepower is very good)...maybe i'll see them again (before they retire).

Let's agree to disagree on the 70s stuff, to me it's not even worth listening, tbh.

"Let's agree to disagree on the 70s stuff, to me it's not even worth listening, tbh."

One of the shittiest opinions to surface from this site, hands down.

"Anyway, their 70s stuff is nowhere near what they do nowadays in terms of style so i don't see why they'd play those for a minority of fans."

How are tracks like Let Us Prey/Call for the Priest, Starbreaker, Exciter, Heroes' End, Genocide, Island of Domination, Dissident Aggressor, Sinner, Deceiver, etc. not in the vein of the style of metal they play even today? How on Earth are you this dense?

Casavir, is this the way you argue ? You have another opinion, i'm fine with it. I just don't happen to agree with you. Are you this insulting to anyone having other opinions ? Hope you're not doing a job where you have to talk to other people, man.

Anyway, they are totally not in the vein of what they do today. Psychedelic effects, fucked up singing (missing notes, this was already discussed), lower tempos etc.

Also, you only took out a few songs when there are quite a lot more that are totally nowhere near even hard rock. Some of the songs are alright but overall, it's not worth listening.

It's not the worst i've heard either. I just don't like it. Why are you mad at this?

Go check my ratings, it's not like i gave them all a 1. I rated according to my tastes, as i believe everyone does.

It's actually going up as years go by because they improved (aside from Turbo which is a turd), halford sang better, less psychedelic effects, more heavy metal than rock or hard rock, etc.

Anyway, go praise the past on the other judas priest reviews. This is Firepower's. This is the 2010s, even if you're nostalgic of the 70s. Now, go troll out of here.

No, it's just that you happen to have ones that are remarkably stupid.

Casavir, be a dear and gtfo, ok? You disagree, that's fine. Insulting isn't.

And btw, opinions can't be stupid. Someone can be but not ideas.

70's priest: overrated, pychedelic mumbo jumbo.

And it's an opinion. Just like yours ;)

No, the idea of '70s Priest having a lot of tracks that don't even approach hard rock is absolutely idiotic.

That second part couldn't be further from the truth. Stupidity IS subjective, but you'll find a lot of people thinking that ideas like Trump's wall, retail corporations cutting hours and jobs, or going into space without a suit as generally accepted as stupid. As for opinions, there's no stupid opinion, just stupid people. :P
