colors rules but it’s also their messiest album. i’d take alaska, TSC or parallax 2 over it any day

Not sure if I agree. All of their early albums felt pretty messy, but I think they gradually cleaned it up over time. I actually like Alaska and Parallax 2 more than Colors, but from a purely artistic standpoint I think Colors is their best.

i get what you’re saying. it has some of their best musical ideas for sure. but this album and pretty much every album since feels more cohesive as a whole

Colors has white walls on it, which is there best track, so Colors wins.

White Walls isn't even the best song on that album, let alone nothing on that album competes with either Mordecai or Selkies.

Parallax 2 has Silent Flight Parliament on it, which is their best track, so Parallax 2 wins

If someone could find me the video of where they're at a restaurant I think and they're drunk and the guitarist(?) says they're playing with "animals as bleeders and dressers act" I would appreciate it

Yeah idk this just comes across as really generic as hell to me. As does all of their stuff, in honesty

Alaska is far from generic.

Ironically, I think this band became more generic as they ventured away from the -core sound. They're still enjoyable regardless.

Their older stuff is definitely better. From Colors onwards they started to focus on being more grandiose. Regardless, they are still awesome and one of the most crazy talented bands around.
