I like paralytic and skeletal lamping, but don't you dare compare those to coquelicot. The nerve of some whatever your avi is

I never got into pre-Satanic of Montreal. I just find all of those albums quite boring, including Gay Parade.

I haven't checked yet but the descriptions I've encountered don't exactly fill me with optimism. The intimidating thing about this discog is not only the sheer amount of material, it's the fact the evidence so far suggest the ratings are completely out of whack for someone like me.

If we're talking early stuff, The Gay Parade and Coquelicot are classics. There's something about them that just hit the spot when I wanna hear psychedelic or poppy music. I wasn't huge on False Priest at first cuz some of it is cringy, but it's grown on me over time. Paralytic Stalks and Skeletal Lamping are probably my favorites (besides Gay Parade and Coquelicot), because they never cease to impress and excite me and every damn song is so catchy in it's own weird way.

Gyro, "Soft Music" has been stuck in my head for over a week. I love the inflections and melody

Yeah, it's a joy to start this album. Then when it's over I get to start it again.

Cherry Peel is just such an earnest and pretty album. May have crept into my top 3.

I prefer this to a lot of the earlier releases, Hissing Fauna rules though. A 3.3 average for Sput is the equivalent of the collective suggesting this is utter dog doo doo, which is very, very far from the truth.

Havent' really listened to any oM for a while. I should at least go back and see if this one still holds up for me. I have a feeling it might get a slight bump down.
