Home Alone is possibly even worse though

Bands been growing off me for a couple years and this will probably be the first one I won't check out. I gotta check the Dylan cover though.

Awkwardness and cheese don't bother me when it's done in some enjoyable manner. This just feels overlong and uncomfortable.

i spent the entire seemingly 6-hour runtime trying to figure out exactly what kind of drugs patrick stickles is on these days.

nah lamentable tragedy buries this.

The songs just never feel like they progress anywhere. No matter the length, the repetition arbitrarily extends the experience. The intensity doesn't build, the structure doesn't change... they just don't move. And it's delivered with this fake-feeling charm on top of it all, a plastic smile of sorts.

jamming some of Local Business now and even that one's more interesting. Songs actually have the energy to leave the barroom and move around, whereas this one feels glued to the godam piano in the corner the whole time.

Goddamn it, I really dig Real Talk, it's the perfect pessimistic anthem for my life right now, and I even bemusingly respect the Dylan cover.
Fuck it, Stickles will never do me wrong, even when he is a lazy fuck.

I dunno, I don't even like the first track, those backing vocals are badbadnotgood.
Above the Bodega is the only highlight on this for me.
