also id like to say the eternal youth triple lp is worth getting if there is any vinyl lovers/rolo tomassi enthusiassts because that album has so much of all their old off cuts. b sides and lesser known BOPS

Sorry man, I commented in 2017 on the Cosmology thread but it was not of positive nature. I was a fan a long while back but they wore off me for some reason (upon returning). Then this came out and it really shocked me, in a good way.
I'll definitely give you some points though.

'That's because they sucked until this album'
Not entirely true, but they've definitely grown as a band. Their earlier output showed a lot of potential and was occasionally excellent, unfortunately it also suffered from being unfocused and inconsistent. They've finally found the perfect counter-balance to the spasmodic chaos of the early days and in a rather unexpected way too. The lighter dream-poppy moments on this are so essential to the way it works.
I'd say they were previously a band with unrealised potential and that this is by far their most mature release.

I disagree, but they have improved from album to album. The only album of theirs I'm not entirely sold on is their debut. It has it's moments, but the chiptune synth can be a bit grating at times. Everything after that has been excellent. Illuminare from Astrea is one of their best songs IMO.

"Reboot av spotted, childhood memories activated"
Still one of my favourite shows to this day tbh, the third season in particular was glorious (until CITV stopped showing it over here in the UK because they felt it was getting too dark for children).
Did you hear about the new version they did on Netflix last year? It was bloody awful.

CITV has grizzly tales for gruesome kids tho which was fucking nightmare fuel

Yes, I agree. Apparently kids meeting particularly gruesome fates is not as bad than a CGI cartoon having an episode parodying Evil Dead 2 complete with Ash Williams and a kid as a zombie wearing Michael Jackson's Thriller outfit (which is a bit dodgy post Leaving Neverland, but not as much in 1997 I guess haha) which while a bit scary for incredibly young children, still ends on a positive note.

yeah i gotta say that is very weird. tbh tho i dont even remember Reboot or whatever it is on your av. i was born 1996 so i dont know if it would have been in my childhood or not

I was born in '87 & it's a 'younger' childhood memory, well I definitely wasn't a teenager at that point. Probably not for you then, although no idea how many series/sequels/repeats there were.
