Anyone else find this album honestly quite meh these days? Super generic and boeing riffing, a lead-heavy, but way too suffocated and lifeless production with too little bass. Kirk’s riffing is actually awful, and really, the best thing is Orion which is quite nice. Ride was way better!

Ride being better (it is) has nothing to do with feeling like this doesn't punch as hard these days. its ~35 years old. It will start to feel old-hat from time to time.
