It was boring and soft. Feminine sound really hit home for the ladies but at least Famous Last Words were good.

I thought this was good on the first 3 tracks, but god damn this album drags on. All of the songs are starting to get mediocre as hell.
EDIT: Alright, they saved grace at the end. The Pact was a great outro, I can go for a 2.5 on this.

The thing about Jonny Craig is that his vocal talent and inventiveness become harder to deny in this age of autotune and reverb arms race. In that sense, I agree with earlier comments about how it's hard to give this album a low rating, as Slaves seems to have found a fitting sound. Fact is that the man can actually sing and has true, technical musicality. This is something we'll be bemoaning in 2040 when we can't detect actual vocal talents anymore, preferential opinions aside.

I enjoy this album. Only Slaves album worth a shot. But then Jonny boy relapses and gets kicked out of a band once again.

good album, sucks that Jonny Craig's a dickbag. It's a tad tough to sympathize with some of these lyrics coming from Craig, but if I separate him from his art they still can feel relatable.

Just watched this hour and fifteen minute long video of Jonny's ex-girlfriend explaining all the fucked up shit he did to her during their relationship.

Weird that the music industry tried to cancel Pinegrove over alleged 'sexual coercion', but has been able to keep this man afloat for well over a decade.
|
| |
Jonny does what every artist who is facing cancellation should do, which is simply just continue making art.

I guess that seems to be the strategy ... remember when Ronnie radke was accused of rape so he sued the chick for defamation. I guess ignoring/attacking is the correct solution as opposed to owning mistakes and having your career (potentially) ruined. Weird world.

Ronnie could legit kill a man and nobody would care
