I actually really liked Say Nothing a ton I think it hit me a lot harder after I saw them perform it live

It would be cool to see a whole album that contains more songs that sound like Hiding

Hiding is their best song so I can agree there

Yeah it sort of blends the new and old and I really dig the new vocal approach but some tinges of strained vocals would be nice from time to time

The first few bars of "Love On Repeat" remind me of the first few bars of Death Cab's "We Looked Like Giants". I'm cool with that.

i'm sorry but the notion that the only reason people don't like this or Keep You because they changed styles is just bullshit imo...

I don't mind the change at all, I mean shit Hiding, Young Fire, & I'll Get By were some of my favorite songs by them period, and those didn't feature hardly any harsh vox or post hardcore vibes at all.

I just don't think their song writing is nearly as strong anymore, and even Kyle's clean vocals feel weaker than before. They simply can't keep me as interested throughout a whole album.

I'd check Forever Sound, for your closest match but other than that strained vocals are completely gone now and idk the instrumentals (other than the drums) are usually mixed at very close levels so it all bleeds together a bit more here.

People are only mad about the style change because they didn't do a great job of it. There are plenty of bands I like with similar sounds, but this just a bit sounds flat. Like I said, good individual moments but it's crippled by homogeneity. Idk, maybe it'll grow on me?
