This sounds like the most organic djent album ever made, what do you guys think?

It's so organic I wouldn't even call it djent tbh. But I really liked the sounds here

oh, it's definitely djent in my opinion, but the drums in particular sound very authentic (and I would bet they are 100% authentic). The strings and orchestrations sound very real as well, I think it's an excellent blend of organic stylings with the modernized djent sound

Relistened. Honestly this has a huge post rock character. Like when the piano in Skyline kicks in its a Sigur Ros thing. I approached this as a prog or metal album when I dropped my rating to 4.5, but that's just not angle to look at this. Will bump this to a 5 again

y'all crack me up, chugs all over this thing, and polyrhythmic rhythms, DT isn't djent cause no chugs or polyrhythmic rhythms, can't be bothered arguing anymore on this, see the album/band as you see fit, very cool guyz

by that logic August Burns Red is a djent band then

there is some djent-like elements here but that doesn't mean it's entirely djent.

I can settle on just the djent qualities argument and not entirely djent, that's ok with me, tbf upon further inspection the ambient quality is fairly strong as well. So ide say its prog rock/metal with subtle djent and ambient qualities here and there.

Glad this thread got bumped, been listening to this the past couple days, think over the years I found a newfound appreciation for this album, for sure. But unpopular opinion, Mob Mentality sounds very.. major key, almost.. too major key.. it sounds like a song that would be in a Disney movie or a broadway show

The vocals in that songs are a little to processed imo, but the song itself is fire

I'm also glad it got bumped, I should jam this more often.

I can't believe this band and Agent Fresco didn't release anything since 2015 tbh. 2015 was such an awesome year for prog tbh

Mob Mentality is fun as fuck, love it as an experiment and yeah, it really has some Disney-quality too it.
