Insanely good, no need for drugs here. My favorite track is the one that’s spinning.

This is really hitting me at the moment. Fantastic sound they had going here. I love the beat samples mixed with those gazey droning soundscapes. Vibes aplenty. The unobtrusive vox work well for this style too
Deserves a bump

Yeah it's very sweet indeed. Love that combo of drum machines and guitar drones as well.

Apparently the beats are samples from old hip-hop records, it came about because they didn’t have a proper drummer (although some live drums were added, maybe he wasn’t a full time member?)
I’m just finding out about this. Cool

I need to revisit the debut (and check the other one)
Importantly, did Mort. ever hear this in full? Hmm.

The debut is on par with this, more guitar-focused. Their final album “Lushlife” is quite different, less dark, and rather dominated by smokey trip-hop atmosphere. I dig it, but it’s not so special, doesn’t stand out.

this seems a little more atypical, adventurous perhaps
Another glance reveals the debut certainly vibes though, so I should pay it a little more attention

I like the debut a lot, didn't care all that much for the third one. This is clearly the best of the three for me though.

Yeah, I’m definitely really into this now. Impeccable pacing. It really flies by despite the length and moments of significant repetition (especially Postscript). I’m in no hurry for it to end

Agreed. Postscript even is a highlight for me for some reason. Love how this uses repetition.

Been way too long since I gave this a spin, thankful for this bump and reminder
